There are so many elements I love about this room. Since Caroline and her children enjoy painting together, she chose durable, colorful chair cushions to accompany the beautiful lucite chairs. She paired the modern seating with a very sturdy, traditional wood table. The rustic floor layed out in a herringbone pattern, works so well against the elegant silk drapery. The natural grass cloth walls adds interesting texture to the space in a subtle way. And the show stopper in the room is the over sized, gorgeous antique chandelier, which adds a sense of grandeur to the space. And fresh flower are always a great touch! It's beautiful. I want the lucite chairs ... AH!
Oh! I love this room too. Those drapes are so luxurious and I love how the modern lucite chairs are used in such a traditional setting.
Love the elegant powdery blue of the draperies and the glow of them with transparencies of the chairs. We have loads of lucite chairs and they are so brilliant. As Carried points out - they are great in a traditional setting. The floor is very grounded terracota which makes it even more eclectic....
The color of the drapes is lovely.
that chandelier looks amazing in there! i also think it looks so comfortable because of the curtains :)
I love this space. Haven't even had a chance to check this Lonny issue out yet. Off to do that now.
Love it! I think the combination of the high end silk draperies with the acrylic chairs and the french chandelier are marvelous. M.
Those chairs are to die for! And I'm loving those drapes!
